Pride In London 2019: When Is The Parade, What Time Does It Start And What Is The Route?

This year’s Pride in London parade promises to be bigger, more colourful and more diverse than ever before.

Last year, approximately one million people descended upon the capital to watch the parade, with around 30,000 individuals participating in the procession.

From the timings of the parade to the route, here’s everything you need to know about this year’s Pride in London:

When is it due to take place?

The Pride in London parade is scheduled to take place on Saturday 6 July.

What time will it start?
The parade is due to begin at 12pm, with the procession continuing until around 5.30pm.

However, the day’s celebrations will carry on into the evening, with live entertainment being hosted on several stages across the route.

In Leicester Square, performers will be on stage in the Woman’s Area from 12.35pm until 7.45pm.

Performances on the Cabaret Stage on Dean Street will be held from 12.05pm until 7.40pm, while entertainment on the Trafalgar Square stage will commence at 11.45am and end at 8pm.

What’s the route?

The Pride in London route will begin at Portland Place at midday, which is situated in Marylebone.

From there, those participating in the parade will march down Oxford Circus, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Lower Regent Street, Pall Mall and Trafalgar Square, before ending at Whitehall.

The parade organisers recommend that spectators avoid visiting the busiest locations along the route, which tend to be Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus.

If you’re a spectator following the route, you’ll likely come across several podiums along the way.

The hosts on the podium will be able to provide you with information about the parade, including who is taking part in the procession.

You can also purchase tickets for the Pride in London Grandstand, which will be located at Waterloo Place. For more information, click here.
